It is not only perfectly safe to cook meat in the microwave but it is ideal for hamburger meat due to the high fat content of the meat. The fat will actually brown the meat and your burgers will be juicy and delicious!
HOW LONG DO YOU COOK THE BURGERS FOR?
4 burgers will cook in 4 minutes, 3 burgers will need 3-3.5 minutes, 2 burgers will need 2.5-3 minutes and 1 burger will cook in 2-2.5 minutes. Of course cooking time will vary based on your microwave’s wattage.
MY BURGER IS SLIGHTLY PINK IN THE MIDDLE?
Meat cooked in the microwave will continue to cook even after the microwave has stopped so a little pink is just fine.
DOES THE FAT CONTENT OF THE MEAT MATTER?
You can use any type of hamburger meat but 80/20 is ideal.. It is the fat in the meat that produces the sizzle and the browning and will then drain to the bottom. Please allow the grease to cool slightly before draining and use caution. Never pour grease down the sink drain and always supervise children when cooking.
CAN I USE ANYTHING OTHER THAN HAMBURGER MEAT?
Yes! Ground chicken, ground turkey and ground pork (sausage meat) all work perfectly in MicroSizzle.
HOW DO I CLEAN MICROSIZZLE AFTER USE?
MicroSizzle is dishwasher safe or can washed by hand in warm soapy water.
ANY TIPS ON MAKING STUFFED BURGERS?
Yes! Fill the molds about a third of the way and form a pocket by pressing the meat up around the edges. Then fill with your desired stuffing. You can use cheese, mushrooms, onions, peppers, avocado, tomato, even mac and cheese! Then add a layer of meat to the top and be sure to seal the edges so your cheese doesn’t ooze out. Try using chunks of cheese instead of slices as these take longer to melt. Don’t worry if you’ve over stuffed your burgers and your MicroSizzle lid won’t snap closed. Just place it on top. This will not affect the final product.
ANY OTHER TIPS?
Yes! Seasoned meat always tastes best so season yours with any of the following; soy sauce, steak sauce, Worcestershire sauce, fresh herbs, diced onion, minced garlic, dry soup mix, or simply salt and pepper. Always use hot mits when removing anything from the microwave. And finally, make mealtime even easier by filling your MicroSizzle in advance and storing it in the refrigerator until you’re ready to cook.

WHAT ARE THE SWIZZLES STICKS MADE OF?
The swizzle sticks are made from food grade silicone which allows the swizzles to slide off easily!
ARE BACON SWIZZLES JUST FOR THE MICROWAVE?
No! Bacon Swizzles are also oven safe and can also be used on the grill. Bake at 350 for about 20 minutes or grill till crispy and golden. (Microwave timing is approximately 1 minute per slice. *Microwave timing will vary by wattage.) Just be very careful handling the sticks immediately after removing them. Allow to cool slightly before sliding off the swizzles.
CAN I MAKE LONGER SWIZZLES?
Yes! Simply wrap 2 slices of bacon around the swizzle stick, overlapping where they come together.
CAN I MAKE REGULAR STRAIGHT BACON ON THE BACON TRAY?
Yes! The bacon tray makes beautiful strips of bacon too and all the grease drains to the bottom for perfectly crispy bacon.
CAN I USE ANYTHING ELSE BESIDES BACON ON THE SWIZZLE STICKS?
Yes! Prosciutto can be wrapped around the sticks and cooked just like bacon. They come out thin and crisp and absolutely delicious! You can also use turkey bacon. Raw dough can even be rolled out, cut in strips and wrapped around the sticks. Bake in oven at 325 until golden brown.
HOW DO I CLEAN THE BACON TRAY AND SWIZZLES?
First carefully drain the grease. (Do not pour grease down the drain.) Then simply put everything in the dishwasher or hand wash in warm, soapy water.
ANY TIPS FOR STUFFING BACON SWIZZLES?
Yes! Be careful to wrap your bacon tightly and cover any holes in the bacon so the stuffing will not ooze out. Use a creamy filling like cream cheese, cheese sauce, queso, guacamole, sour cream, mashed potatoes, peanut butter, jelly, Nutella or ricotta cheese. Make sure any ingredients you add to these, such as onions, garlic or chives, are chopped very small so as not to clog the pastry tip. Fill each swizzle stick from each end to make sure the filling gets all the way to the middle. And make plenty, they’re so delicious, they’ll go fast!
ANY OTHER TIPS?
Yes! Bacon swizzles are delicious plain or stuffed but can also be used in place of chips for dip. For a savory sweet dessert, drizzle them with chocolate or caramel. And for an extra special shake or cocktail, use them in place of a plastic straw. Yum!
